The spectators at the 41st ADAC Zurich 24-hour race at the Nurburgring witnessed an action-packed event as nearly 180 drivers aimed to finish ahead of the pack. The race was exciting as it was until Sunday night’s heavy rain and fog forced the race to take a nine and a half-hour mandatory break.
After the restart on Monday morning, the team of Bernd Schneider, Jeroen Bleekemolen, Sean Edwards and Nicki Thiim who were driving the number 9 Black Falcon Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 sets their eye on the goal as they finished the race 2:39 minutes ahead of the BMW Z4 GT3 by Maxime Martin, Andrea Piccini, Yelmer Buurman and Richard Göransson. The third place meanwhile, went to another SLS AMG GT3 by the ROWE Racing team.

This year’s win makes Mercedes-Benz finally join the list of manufacturers to win the Nurburgring 24 Hours since the series started in 1970.
“The ultra-reliable SLS AMG GT3 was once again the cornerstone for this historic victory. All the drivers did a great job – we were really fast, especially in the wet. A big thank you to all team members!” said Alexander Böhm, Black Falcon General Manager
