Mendiola, Tan, and Rivera Tops Shell Helix Slalom 1ST Leg

The first leg of the RACE Motorsports Club Shel Helix National Slalom Series was held at the Robinsons Nova Market last February 19, 2012. Dr. Peewee Mendiola of Big Chill Racing Team made a good start this season as he topped the Overall and Production Rear Wheel Best time of the day. Mendiola posted the fastest time of 59.36 seconds. Milo Rivera of Fern C Racing Team came in with the second fastest time of 60.34 seconds followed by Mato Tan of DGL Racing Team with a time of 61.02 seconds, came in 4^th was DGL himself David Lim with a time of 61.40 seconds and the 5^th place was taken by Peque Alacbay of Team Uno.

Meanwhile for the Production Rear Wheel, the best time also went to Dr. Peewee Mendiola followed again by Milo Rivera and Mato Tan. Peque Alacbay came in 4^th place while 5^th place went to the hands of David Lim Jr. followed by Estefano Rivera.

For the Production Front wheel, Mato Tan of DGL captured the title followed by his team mates Father & Son David Lim and Jr. 4^th place went to Dax Santiano and 5^th placer was Stephen Pelayo.

For the Novice category, Estefano Rivera of Fern C Racing Team won the first place with a time of 62.90 seconds. 2^nd was Alex Bautista with 65.06 seconds. Abet Reyes of Big Chill finished with 67.10 seconds, Jowil Lasaga with 68.62 seconds, Jahan Kalam with 69.18 seconds and Walter Zamora with 70.12 seconds.

The 2^nd Leg of the RACE Motorsports Club Shell Helix Slalom Series will be held at SM City Sucat South Parking Lot Bldg. A on March 4, 2012. Registration starts at 8am with Open Practice runs until 10am and after which only 2 official practice runs will be given til 11:30 am. Late comers will only be given 1 practice run. Official runs will start at 12 noon.
