After releasing a teaser image just a few days ago, BMW M Motorsport has finally revealed the M Hybrid V8 – their all-new prototype race car designed to compete in the top class of endurance racing.
As expected, the Le Mans race car is unmistakably a BMW with its wide kidney nose and features a camouflage livery commemorating the manufacturer's 50 years of motor racing history and their trademark BMW M colors.

“My team's job was to make the BMW M Hybrid V8 look like a BMW, and embrace every opportunity to make it also perform like one on the race track,” said Michael Scully, BMW Group Designworks Global Automotive Director.
The BMW M Hybrid V8 was built under the Le Mans Daytona hypercar (LMDh) regulations. Its chassis was built in collaboration with Dallara and features a mandatory hybrid system by Bosch, Williams Advanced Engineering, and Xtrac to complement the now-confirmed BMW V8 engine.

According to BMW, the current look will serve as the M Hybrid V8's livery in its development testing phase and will be replaced with a works livery once it is ready to race at the 2023 season of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Does the BMW M Hybrid V8 have the looks to conquer the 24 Hours of Le Mans? Let us know in the comments.
