Lego Ford GT racecar to arrive at 2016 Le Mans
Ford all set to arrive in 2016 Le Mans with a fleet of GT racecars

Ford's latest contender for the 2016 World Endurance Championship (WEC) will also be arriving in brick form at this weekend's Le Mans.
One-third (1/3) the size of the original racecar, it is made of 40,000 pieces and took about three weeks to build. Like the real Mccoy, the Lego Ford GT racecar features the distinct blue-red and white livery.

Key sections of the car like the aerodynamic bodykit, alloy wheels, large rear spoiler and diffuser were intricately recreated as well. It even gets the same #66 race tag.
It won't be alone however as it will be accompanied by the classic GT40 which was also recreated in Lego form. It serves as a reminder of Ford's accomplishment back in 1966 when the automaker finished first, second and third at Le Mans.

For the upcoming race, Ford will be fielding four GT racecars. Piloting #66 will be Billy Johnson, Stefan Mucke and Oliver Pla. At the helm of #67 will be Marino Franchitti, Andy Priaulx and Harry Tinckell.
Car #68 will be driven by the following drivers: Sebastien Bourdais, Joey Hand, and Dirk Muller. Lastly, #69 will be driven by Ryan Briscoe, Scott Dixon and Richard Westbrook.
