King of Nation Asia ProSeries drift competition heads to the Philippines
Catch the first King of Nations Philippine drift championship on May 25 to 27 at the Clark International Speedway

The Federal Tires King of Nations ProSeries drift championship will soon be taking place in the Philippines for the first time. The international drift series was launched yesterday at the opening of the 2018 Manila International Auto Show. Dubbed KONPH2018, the international drift event will be held at the Clark International Speedway this coming May 25 to 27.
KONPH2018 will be the last round of the Asia leg of King of Nations ProSeries 2018. It is also the 12th out of the 24 events in this year's international drifting calendar. The first round of the 2018 series was held in Verona, Italy last January. Meanwhile, the Asia ProSeries started in Thailand last March.

Local talents including Luis Gono, David Feliciano, Alex Perez, Atoy Llave, Jason Chuachoy, Audel Sison, Alvan Fowlerr, Patrick Ng, Boodie Dabasol, Luis Sayson, John Boban, Norman Wycoco, Mark Bernardo, John Lazaga, Norman Agojo, and Ralph Tan will be representing the Philippines. They will be going up against foreign drifters such as Daigo Saito, Hirohide Tanaka, Keiichiro Kadekaru, and Toni Arakaki from Japan; Davide Daevil Dorigo of Thailand; Nasser Almutairi of Kuwait; and Zai Hamdan of Malaysia.
“I’m so excited to be here in the Philippines. I’ve seen some talented Filipino drivers abroad but I can’t wait to see the local drifters who I heard are young and skilled as well,” said King of Nations Head Judge Vernon Zwaneveld.
The Federal Tyres King of Nations ProSeries is said to be the oldest drift series in Europe. It is also is recognized as one of the world’s leading professional drifting championships, which provides a platform for professional drifters to compete in multiple events and demonstrations. KONPH2018 is sponsored by Federal Tires, ST Suspensions, Remus, Autophile, Autoplus, Motul, and Fontana Leisure Park. The upcoming event is also sanctioned by the Automobile Association of the Philippines.
