Jazz VTEC Media Challenge - Penultimate Round
Staff Writer

Will team Manila Bulletin be able to sustain their momentum? Will the teams from Philippine Star / Speed Magazine or C! Magazine take over? Or will other teams outshine the series leaders? These are just some of the questions that will be answered at the second to the last round of this year's Jazz VTEC Media Challenge to be held this Saturday, November 19, 2005 at the Carmona Racing Circuit.
Come rain or shine, the four official Jazz VTEC cars are raring to go, all powered by Petron Xtra Unleaded gasoline, and running on OEM Goodyear Eagle NCT5 tires. All four 1.5-liter Jazz units are ready to take on the fast straights and tight curves of the track, and the screeching starts, hard braking and cornering of the speed-hungry competitors.
In the team standings, Manila Bulletin is leading the way with 60 championship points. The team from Philippine Star / Speed Magazine is tied in second place with C! Magazine, with 51 points. Placing fourth is the team from Top Gear Magazine (42 pts) and in fifth place is team Manila Times /DZRH with 33 points. Sixth place is occupied by Auto Review / Autoindustriya with a total of 27 points. The joint team of Philippine Daily Inquirer / Daily Tribune /DZEC / Daily Mirror is tied in seventh place with the team from Manila Standard Today / DZMM, both with 15 points. The teams from BusinessWorld / Auto Extreme and ABS-CBN round up this year's participants, with 12 and six championship points, respectively.
Halfway through the series, only 14 racers have managed to earn valuable championship points for the individual honors - but it's still anybody's podium position with two more exciting races to go.
The 7th season of the Jazz VTEC Media Challenge is presented by Honda Cars Philippines, Inc and brought to you by Petron Xtra Unleaded; Goodyear for the OEM tires, Nodalo's Trading for the race-safety modifications, Igertech for the race timing and Aitech for the car stickers.
