Hernel Castillo dominates Round 4 of Touge Battle

The 4^th round of the Touge Battle Series last March 7, 2014 at the Batangas Racing Circuit saw many surprising and unexpected victories between seasoned professionals and newbies.

For starters, Brennan Lim and his yellow Honda EK Civic managed to win the Premium Class elimination round even though he merited a 3 second penalty. Lim won with a 0.2 second difference over Joel Real's Subaru BRZ.

During the final stage, Lim also grabbed first place victory against the pack while landing second place was Michael Pasumbal and his white Toyota Levin. Securing third and fourth were two GT86s that belonged to Real and Diego Datu respectively.

Over to Turbo Class, Hernel Castillo, aka 'Mr. H'. dominated the race in his Subaru STi while Kevin Sugden in his second ever motor race, got second place driving a hatchback version of the Subaru Bug Eye STi. First-time Touge Battle racer Carlo Cruz was able to finish third place while driving his yellow Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V.

Paul Perez in his lime green, race prepped Honda Civic Ek sedan dominated the Race 2 Class by consistently posting quick times over rival Ronald Estrella in a Honda Civic Eg hatchback. Brennan Lim on the other hand also snatched gold in the Newbie Division ahead of Michael Pasumbal and Kevin Sugden respectively.

The organizers of Touge Battle then decided to pit the Honda Civic of Paul Perez against the Legendary Mr. H in his Subaru STi to see who would bring home the coveted Touge King award. The end, Mr. H won the Touge King Award by shedding 2.5 seconds from his time.

Touge battle is organized by Aggressive Line events and supported by Autoperformance PH, Vic of Achilles Radials, AEE Magicam action Cameras, AutoIndustriya.com, C! Magazine, 2NER Magazine, Time Attack Manila, Autolocopinas, Liquid Image Cameras, Sushi Factory and GEAR Auto Culture.

Touge Battle will have its next race at the Clark International Speedway on March 28, 2015.
