Hamitlon wins an exciting 2015 Bahrain Grand Prix
Scuderia Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen surprises everyone with a second place win during the 2015 Bahrain Grand Prix

Despite having brake problems, reigning F1 champion Lewis Hamilton nabbed the win when the checkered flag dropped at the 2015 Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix, marking his 36th overall win in the motorsport.
The race also tested the Briton and his fellow teammate Nico Rosberg as Scuderia Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen was hot on their heels during the twilight race. A quick change to soft tires near the end of the race ultimately merited Raikkonen the second place finish as Rosberg was still using medium-compound tires and brake wear that allowed the Finn to simply pass by the German.

The Raikkonen actually passed Hamilton for the lead on lap 39 but lost it due to worn medium tires in which he had to enter the pits. Raikkonen's teammate Sebastien Vettel was originally battling it our for second place but a mid-race error meant that Vettel had to enter the pit lane and replace the nose. Vettel finished the race in fifth place, just behind Williams' Valterri Bottas.
On sixth and seventh place accordingly were Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo and Lotus' Romain Grosjean. Ricciardo was lucky to have completed the race as his engine already gave out as he came out of the last turn. Sergio Perez of Force India finished the race in eighth place while Daniil Kyvat of Red Bull managed to get ninth. William's Felipe Massa on the other hand completed the evening race in tenth while Fernando Alonso from McLaren was eleventh.

Other drivers that finished the 2015 Bahrain Grand Prix were Felipe Nasr of Sauber, Nico Hulkenberg of Force India, Sauber driver Marcus Ericsson, Lotus driver Pastor Maldonado and Marussia's Will Stevens and Roberto Merhi.
Both of Toro Rosso's drivers, Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz, had to retire from the race while Jenson Button wasn't able to start as his car had electrical problems that hindered the energy recovery system.
Overall, Hamilton is still leading the championship standings with a total of 93 points while Rosberg is at 66. Closely following the two Mercedes-Benz drivers are Scuderia Ferrari's Vettel and Raikkonen who currently have 65 and 42 respectively. Over to the Constructors' standings, Mercedes-Benz is also leading with 159 points while trailing behind are Ferrari and Williams' who have 109 and 61, respectively.
