Goodwood celebrates BMW's centenary with three-car sculpture
BMW continues 100th anniversary by being the featured marque of Goodwood 2016

BMW continues its centenary by being the featured marque for the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed. To celebrate the milestone, a sculpture has been made for BMW's motorsport history and features three of the brand's winning race cars.
One car on the sculpture is the 1938 328 that won the Mille Miglia that year. The second car part of the display is the the Gordon Murray-designed Brabham-BMW BT52 that gave Nelson Piquet his second championship title in 1983. The newest of the three cars on the sculpture is the Le Mans-winning V12 LMR which was driven by Yannick Dalmas, Pierluigi Martini and Joachim Winkelhock.

Aside from the aforementioned racecars, BMW will also be displaying other race cars, concept cars and motorcycles. These include the 1965 1800 TI/SA, the 328 Touring Coupe which won the 1940 Mille Miglia and the 2002 Hommage Concept shown earlier this year. As for motorcycles, BMW will be showing a 1966 R50 S Kaczor, a 1976 R90S TT, and a WR750 Kompressor from 1929. The marque's aircraft heritage was also celebrated with the 1927 Klemm L25 aircraft powered by a BMW five-cylinder radial engine.
