Geneva 2015 Preview: Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3 revealed ahead of debut
The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3 is racing its way to the 2015 Geneva Motor Show

Mercedes-Benz has officially revealed the AMG GT3 online ahead of its debut at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show next week.
Based on the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, the automaker's Geneva bound race car complies with the FIA GT3 race regulations. It is fitted with a wide carbon fiber body kit that includes an aggressive bumper, vented front fenders, sporty side skirts, large air intakes and sharp-looking headlights. Mercedes-Benz adds that the AMG GT3 is equipped with a rear diffuser and a prominent rear wing.

Moreover, the vehicle's engine cover, doors, aprons, sidewalls and boot lid are all made from lightweight high-strength carbon fiber. Though no figures were given, we should expect that the AMG GT3 to be light.

Inside, it features a carbon fiber seat pan and an integral roll cage made from high-tensile steel.
Powering the vehicle is an enhanced version of the 6.3-liter V8 engine taken from the SLS AMG GT3. It is mated to a six-speed sequential racing transmission. However, Mercedes-Benz remains to withhold the AMG GT3's power output rating.
