Formula 1 terminates Russian Grand Prix
There will be no more F1 racing at the Sochi Autodrom

With the Ukraine-Russia conflict still ongoing, nations from around the world have since put sanctions against Russia. From trade, economic, financial, transportation, and energy sanctions, the federation is facing condemnation for its actions.
If that's not enough, Formula 1 has announced that it will no longer be holding any Formula 1 Grand Prix events in Russia. This was confirmed by the motorsport via a press release, stating that they have terminated its contract with the Russian Grand Prix promoter. This means that Russia will no longer have a race in the future.
For F1 fans living in Russia, this is another blow to the country when it comes to competing (or holding) in motorsport-related events. Just a few days ago, the FIA banned the Russian flag from being shown during motorsport events. Instead, drivers can continue competing under a “neutral FIA flag”. This will allow Russian drivers such as Nikita Mazepin to continue driving for Haas during the 2022 Formula 1 season.

Subsequently, the Haas Formula 1 team has already removed all Uralkali sponsorships and Russian colors from their vehicles. They have instead replaced it with black and white colors. In addition, the FIA said that teams competing will not be allowed to display the Russian/Belarusian colors, flags, or symbols on their uniforms, equipment, and cars.
With Russia facing condemnation from the global community, it might take years before promoters and other companies decide to hold events inside the federation.
