Formula 1 could be heading to the streets of Miami in 2019
Formula 1 announces that a Grand Prix could soon be held on the streets of Miami in October 2019

To make the Formula 1 calendar even more exciting, the guys over at F1 recently announced that they are planning to hold a Grand Prix on the streets of Miami, Florida in October 2019. Furthermore, they have already sent proposals to the City of Miami Commission, which will then vote on whether to proceed with the plans or not.
“Earlier today the City of Miami Commission took an important step by adding an item to their upcoming agenda, that if approved, will make way to bring Formula 1 to downtown Miami next season. We appreciate the community’s interest in hosting a Formula 1 race and look forward to working with local officials and stakeholders to bring this vision to life,” said Sean Bratches, Managing Director Commercial Operations of Formula 1.
On the current Formula 1 calendar, there is only one Grand Prix in the United States. Called the United States Grand Prix, it is held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Should the Miami Grand Prix push on, it would be the second Formula 1 race in the country and also mark the first time that a street circuit will be held in the US since 1991.
"With over half a billion fans worldwide, Formula 1 is the greatest racing spectacle on the planet, and Miami’s status as one of the world’s most iconic and glamourous cities, combined with its robust tourism infrastructure, makes Miami the perfect destination for Formula 1 and its fans,” added Bratches.
For now, further discussions between Formula 1, the FIA, and Miami authorities are being made in order to make the proposed inaugural race on October next year a reality. The question now is, are you ready for a Miami Grand Prix?
