Ford has announced that the 2015 Shelby GT350R-C is set to compete in the remainder of the 2015 International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.

The 2015 Shelby GT350R-C will be the official racecar of Multimatic Motorsports. The team will field drivers such as Billy Johnson, Scott Maxwell, Austin Cindric and Jade Buford for the GT350R-C's racing debut at Watkins Glen.

Based on the street-legal 2015 Shelby GT350R, Ford says the racecar is fitted with revised spring rates and antiroll bars. The 2015 GT350R-C also comes with a lower ride height, track-tuned alignment settings, revised bushings and cross-axis ball joints.

The 2015 GT350R-C is powered by a 5.2-liter V8 engine, similar to the GT350R. However, Ford has yet to release the power output details of GT350R-C'S engine. As a review, the standard configuration of the said engine delivers 507 PS and 542 Nm of torque.
