Ford EcoBoost engine wins at the Tudor United SportsCar Championship
The Ford 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 shines in its first Tudor United SportsCar Championship giving Chip Ganassi Racing three wins

Ford’s highly-touted EcoBoost technology continues to rack up achievements in various fronts; this time on the track where it counts the most. The 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 in just its maiden outing at the Tudor United SportsCar Championship gave a excellent account of itself.
Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGR) and Michael Shank Racing with Curb/Agajanian (MSR) won three races, which included victories at the grueling 12 Hours of Sebring, Long Beach and Circuit of The Americas, while also stepping on the podium 7 times.
“Last year we won the championship with winning two races. We won three races this year, so things look good for 2015. It’s been a real up-and-down season, but these are the years that really bring you together as a team and a group,” said Ganassi pilot and Sebring winner Scott Pruett.
Logging in 15,000 endurance racing miles last year, the Ford EcoBoost V6 which is more than 70% production-based, has continuously outdone itself in the most demanding road racing tracks in North America, in various weather conditions and some races going for as long as 24 hours.
“It’s a testament to the robustness of the technology that powers many of our production vehicles around the world, that our engines stood up to some of the toughest tests in North American endurance racing,” said Jamie Allison, director of Ford Racing.
