Force India Formula 1 team unveils new pink livery for 2017
Force India Formula 1 cars now have a pink livery after partnership with water treatment specialist

Following the premiere of their 2017 Formula 1 season challenger, Force India has been the first team to change liveries. Compared to its previous livery showcased at their Formula 1 car launch, the brand now sports a pink, magenta and silver color scheme.
Aside from the pink vehicles, the helmets of Formula 1 drivers Sebastian Perez and Esteban Ocon will also reflect the new paint scheme. The new pink livery will debut at the season-opener at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.
“For 2017 our cars will sport a vibrant new colour scheme with a smart matte finish. Changing the colour of our cars is an indication of the strength of this new partnership and a real statement of intent from BWT as they begin their relationship with the sport of Formula One,” said Dr. Vijay Mallya, Team Principal and Managing Director of Sahara Force India
The reason for the sudden change in livery? Force India has partnered with Best Water Technology Group (BWT), which they say marks the beginning of a long-term relationship. BWT's partnership with Force India is such that they could promote their water treatment products by taking advantage of Formula 1's global footprint.
“We share with Formula 1 – the premier league of motor sport – the passion we show every day in trying to achieve the best possible standards for our elixir of life, H2O, enabling us to meet the demanding requirements for quality, health, safety and hygiene and drive the development of new technologies,” said Andreas Weißenbacher, CEO of BWT.
Best Water Technology Group is Europe's leading water technology company. The company strives to provide water throughout different sectors while ensuring that the water would be safe for daily use. With the brand's tie up with a Formula 1 team, BWT aims to showcase the passion they have for providing safe and high quality water to everyone while striving to develop new technologies for it.
