FIA crowns 2011 international motorsport champions
The Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) recently awarded the champions of various sanctioned motorsports at their annual gala held for the first time in India.

Recently, the FIA honored the champions of the various sanctioned motorsports around the world at their Prize Giving Gala, held for the first time in New Delhi, India. Trophies were awarded for the champions in their various chosen categories, as well as those who received special awards from the international motorsports sanctioning body.
In Formula One (F1), Sebastian Vettel was crowned for the 2nd year in a row, making him the youngest double world champion for the sport. In the constructor's championship, Red Bull Racing was also awarded for accumulating the most points throughout the season with their two drivers, the other being Mark Webber.
In the World Rally Championship (WRC), Citroen's Sebastien Loeb took another title, along with his driver Daniel Elena. Together, the pair have been reigning world champions since 2004 for a record 8 years straight.
In the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), Chevrolet's Yvan Muller was awarded the championship while Team Chevrolet also took the team championship.
Over the course of the evening, many other champions were awarded, capping off an exciting 2011 in motorsport.
