Brothers Enzo and Don Pastor were both invited to participate in one or more NASCAR K&N Pro Series events by Creation-Cope Racing (CCR) under the stewardship of 1990 Daytona 500 winner Derrike Cope, a well-known figure in NASCAR. Both drivers were scouted recently through their participation in the Euro Racecar Series, a European expansion of the popular US-based series. The invitation to their father Tomas Pastor, President of the Philippine Formula Autosport Foundation, was sent by Andy Woolgar, Team Manager of CCR.
The North Carolina-based CCR is expecting to field the brothers in the K&N Pro Series East races. They will be driving 650-hp former Winston Cup racecars.
Enzo Pastor currently competes in the Open Class of the Euro Racecar Series, he made a 4th place finish in the second race at the opening round in Nogaro, France. Don is on a per race participation for the Elite Class of the series; he is currently competing in US-based time-attack events including the Global Time Attack Series.
Many international race teams have been looking into expanding their horizons to Asia to get talented drivers to compete in their events due to the economic woes in the US and Europe.
