ECB ARC 2013: Honda Jazz claims championship for second year in a row

The Honda Jazz proves to be a tough competitor in the Rally Australia Championship. Last weekend, Driver Eli Evans and co-driver Glen Weston made their 11th win from 11 starts in their Honda Jazz. With their winning streak in the East Coast Bullbars Australian Rally Championship, the team has secured back-to-back titles with one round left in 2013.
Despite a win, Evans did not have everything in his favor during the 10th Round of the FIA World Rally Championship. The rally have drivers battling through long distances of dusty forest stages to the north of Melbourne.
“It was a tough weekend. The roads are really abrasive and we had some long stages where tyre choice became an issue. The team has put in such a great effort, and the Honda Jazz never let me down. I can’t thank Honda enough for all their support over the last four years, and this is a great way to reward them with our 11th straight win and two Championships in a row,” said Evans after claiming the latest win.
The final round of the East Coast Bullbars Australian Rally Championship will be Rally Victoria. It will take place in Warragul on November 15-16.
