After spending a couple of seasons with Renault and McLaren, Daniel Ricciardo has reunited with Red Bull Racing as their third driver. But this September, he's getting his chance behind the wheel of an F1 car again.
Daniel Ricciardo has been confirmed to have been drafted by Red Bull to do demonstration laps around the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife circuit as part of the energy drinks brand's Formula Nürburgring festival that will take place alongside the 12-hour endurance race at the Green Hell.
This will be the first time a Formula One car will have official demo laps at the 'Ring since Michael Schumacher demoed a Mercedes F1 car back in 2013.
Alongside the Honey Badger, other greats of both four and two-wheeled motorsports, plus young racing talents are also appearing at the festival.
For now, the identities of the other stars are yet to be revealed, but expect further announcements as the 12h Nürburgring race weekend draws closer.
