City Kart Racing aims to host largest motorsport event in PH
City Kart Racing's 'Race to Boracay' event aims to attract 500 drivers for 'fastest driver' title.

City Kart Racing (CKR) is hosting its first major event since it moved to its new location at Circuit Makati. Entitled 'Race to Boracay', the event is expecting to be the largest motorsport event in the Philippines with at least 500 drivers vying for the 'fastest driver' title. It aims to be the perfect occasion to gather racing enthusiasts to meet and mingle in hopes to further boost motorsport awareness in the Philippines.
The new CKR facility in Circuit Makati houses a 700-meter-long track which combines straights and technical turns which suits both beginners and advanced drivers. It also features a bridge, tunnel and fast sweeping corners. It also has a cafe and bar for guests to unwind after their karting session.

Competition will be divided into two classes; Juniors (13-17 years old) and Adults (18 years old and up).
Race to Boracay will be composed of four stages:
Qualifying – participants will be given five chances to clock their best lap time using karts fitted with soft compound tires.
Pre-final – in this stage, the top 200 drivers from the qualifying round will compete for the top 50 spots.
Finale – Top 50 drivers will try to outdrive each other to enter the elusive Grand Finale.
Grand Finale - 10 drivers will race for the title of the 'fastest driver'.

Timing will be done with CKR's state-of-the-art timng system which records laptimes up to the thousandth of a second, guaranteeing absolute precision. Participants will get to compare laptimes on-site or through the mobile application accessible either on their iOS or Android devices.

The schedule is as follows:
