Chicago 2014: Tanner Foust to drive Rockstar VW Beetle for 2014 GRC

Three-time US Rallycross champion Tanner Foust will drive the Rockstar Energy Drink VW Beetle for the Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross (VARX) team at the 2014 Global Rallycross Championship. The announcement was made at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show where the Rockstar Energy Drink Beetle was presented by Volkswagen. Foust, will make his debut with Volkswagen Beetle in the GRC season opener in May.

"The level of preparation that Volkswagen Motorsport and Andretti Autosport bring to rallycross can't be overstated. Volkswagen conquered the World Rally Championship on their first attempt and joining them for rallycross is an amazing opportunity," said Foust.

Foust and VARX will start the season in May with a rallycross-built Volkswagen Polo and competing alongside Foust is Scoot Speed.

The Rockstar Energy Drink Beetle is an all-wheel-drive rallycross car that is capable of generating 568 PS from its turbocharged and direct-injection EA888 TSI engine.

Aside from driving for Volkswagen and Andretti Autosport on the 2014 Global Rallycross championship campaign, Foust will be participating in X Games which will be held in Austin, Texas; and he will also drive a Volkswagen on the FIA World Rallycross Championship with Marklund Motorsport.
