Carlos Anton takes home fastest lap of the day on 2nd leg of Circuit Showdown

Circuit Showdown successfully pulled off its 2nd leg at the Clark International Speedway last April 6, 2013. With over 100 individual participants and 35 cars on the grid, this has become one of the most successful circuit event locally.
Leading the pack for Bracket A was Joby Tanseco, followed by Carlo Mojica and Dindo de Jesus. For Bracket B, Edward dela Rosa took top honors, followed by Toby Santiago and Richard Bodestyne. In Bracket C, Francio Co took home the gold while Ferdie Sia and Paolo Martinez followed with less than hundredths of a second separating them. Bracket D was led by GT Radials' Mark Dy, followed by Don Andaya and Al Lacambra. In Bracket E, Cedric Remo took home the gold when the .2 Rule came into play for his breakout, followed by JP Pacres and Leo Candava. Marion Mendoza became the first time winner for Bracket F followed by Arby Andaya and Alking dela Cruz. Taking home the Fastest Time of the Day was Carlos Anton by breaking his previous track record with a 1.04.673.

Adrenaline sure went rushing out during the Grid races. Dominating on the Grid A was Rafael La'O and Eggy Ong. Grid B was laced with an oil stricken track, when an oil cooler line burst during the race causing several cars off the track. When all the dust had settled, Dindo de Jesus got the gold, Edward dela Rosa took home silver and Michael Co took the bronze. For Grid C, a two lap breakout penalty led Toby Santiago lose his chance on getting into the top spot letting Don Andaya took home first place. Ike Palinar piloting his Toyota Starlet meanwhile finished second which was followed by Luigi Cupino.
