Can Ferrari win again with the SF-21?
Could the SF-21 be the car to finally topple Mercedes-AMG?

Save the best for last? The Scuderia wants you to think that. Months after other teams revealed their new cars, Ferrari finally unveiled their 2021 challenger.
Dubbed the SF-21, it is, of course, endowed with the iconic red livery. The only other color being the green logo of sponsor Misson Winnow on the airbox. There is also a burgundy red shade towards the rear of the car.

Upon close inspection of the photos, you will see a reworked nose for better aerodynamic efficiency. While the front redesign is evident, the team adds that the rear section sees several upgrades. The SF-21’s rear now features a new transmission and suspension. The team also opted to rework the power unit, which was a weak point for them last season.

Enrico Cardille, head of Ferrari’s chassis department, said the team has two objectives. The first is to recover the downforce lost due to the 2021 regulation changes. The second is to reduce the drag on the straights that they said hampered performance last year.

Bolstering Ferrari’s hopes of a return to form is the duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. Team principal Mattia Binotto pointed towards the strides made to improve the power unit and aerodynamics, saying, “We recovered a lot of speed on the straights”.
Ferrari wants to put the tumultuous 2020 season behind them. With the updated car, all eyes are on the Ferrari team, with the Tifosi expecting a lot. After all, we've seen Ferrari bounce back from tough seasons before.
