Callaway appointed to build FIA GT3 Corvette C7
Callaway Competition has just revealed that it is now developing the new Corvette C7 to a GT3 car for FIA homologated events.
Leingarten, Germany-based Callaway Competition has just revealed that it is now developing the new Corvette C7 to a GT3 car for FIA homologated events. This comes after the independent racing arm of US-based Callaway Cars has just received authorization from Chevrolet to become the appointed specialists for building and holding the homologation of Corvette C7 FIA GT3 race cars.
The company owned by Ernst Wöhr, Giovanni Ciccone, and Reeves Callaway has been the homologation holder for the Covette C6 FIA GT3 car. The Callaway team is considered currently as the most successful in GT3 competition based on driver and team championships from 2007 to present.
Callaway Competition specializes in body fabrication, exotic-car repair, and race-car preparation since 1985. It also builds carbon structures for the automotive companies like Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Audi.
