British Racing Green returns to F1 with Aston Martin
Racing Point's transformation into Aston Martin is complete

Another highly anticipated F1 car has just been revealed. This time, it's from legendary carmakers Aston Martin, who is making a return to the F1 grid after a 60-year absence.
The Aston Martin F1 team takes over from what was formerly known as the Racing Point team. It came after team owner Lawrence Stroll took over control of the Aston Martin road car business.

One of the things associated with the legendary marquee is the iconic British racing green colorway, and thankfully the new team chose to retain it. The only thing breaking the monotony of green is a pink stripe, which is a nod to their long-time team sponsor, BWT.
The AMR21 will likely be an evolution of last year's Racing Point chassis and use a Mercedes-AMG powerplant. It comes as no surprise since Aston Martin’s road cars are powered by Mercedes-AMG V8’s with both brands having a longstanding partnership.

While the return of the brand garnered a lot of excitement, another aspect that has fans excited is the driver pairing of 4-time drivers world champion Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll. Coming off a forgettable last year at Ferrari, Vettel is looking to regain his former glory. While Lance Stroll is out to set his detractors wrong by finally challenging for podiums or even wins.
Nonetheless, team principal Otmar Szafnauer is quite optimistic for the upcoming season, “We believe we have all the ingredients in place to compete for even more podiums and hopefully victories too,” he said. “We’ve earned a well-deserved reputation for punching above our weight, so we’re confident we can do the Aston Martin name proud right from the get-go," said Szafnauer.

Last year was a good year for the team, scoring multiple podiums and even a race win which got them 4th place in the constructors' championship. With a new identity and a bolstered driver's line-up, Aston Martin F1 could make waves in the 2021 season.
