Bentley is ready to go racing in the virtual world
Do you think you have a shot at virtual racing championships with Bentley?

With a big part of the world in lockdown, racing can't happen out to the track and we can't see live wheel to wheel action for now. After all, drivers, teams, and crews are not exempt from the social distancing guidelines in their locales.
But instead of just lounging around waiting for quarantine to be lifted, manufacturers and drivers alike are going to the virtual world for some racing. Bentley is one of those automakers stepping foot in the world of sim racing and they have entered SRO E-Sport GT Series. Their weapon of choice? The Continental GT, of course.
Bentley is going for gold in the virtual championship. Their drivers will be real-life pro racers to boost their chances and they will announce their lineup soon. Not only that, but they will also have another group of drivers consisting of elite sim racers. So if you think you have a shot at representing Bentley (and the country) in the big leagues, you can fill out their entry form too.
The SRO E-Sport GT Series will consist of six rounds and it mirrors events in the GT World Challenge Europe. The first race will be held in a virtual version of Silverstone on April 26. The second round will be the 24 Hours of Spa on May 10, followed by the Nurburgring on May 17. Come May 31, Barcelona will host the fourth round while the fifth will be decided by a public vote on June 14. Details of the final round will be announced soon.
We may not be seeing races on real tracks at the moment, but you'll be surprised at just how entertaining virtual racing can be. We suggest giving it a try. After all, Formula 1 is already in on it.
