Audi claims fourth win at 2017 Total 24 Hours of Spa
Audi clinches their fourth victory at the 2017 Total 24 Hours of Spa after Ferrari and Lamborghini race leaders retire from the series

After driving 546 laps around the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Audi with the #25 Audi Sport Team Saintéloc Audi R8 LMS ended up being victorious at this year's Total 24 Hours of Spa. Driven by Christopher Haase, Markus Winkelhock and Jules Gounon, the team managed to claim victory out of over 60 GT3 cars that were participating in the race.

Meanwhile, Bentley Team M-Sport managed to follow in second place with their #8 car, and was able to make up for the misfortune that happened to their team in the previous year. Despite setting the fastest time in qualifying, the #90 Akka ASP Mercedes-AMG GT3 had settle for third due to some pentalties incurred. The three teams round up the top three podium finishers for this year's race.
Despite claiming the victory, it was not an easy win for the #25 Audi team. The #55 Kaspersky Motorsport Ferrari GT3 driven by ex-Formula 1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella used the pole position to take the lead and managed to hold on to it for the the first few hours. Meanwhile, the second hour of the race was plagued with a series of yellow flags with a safety car intervention due to the sever crash of the #50 AF Corse Ferrari.

Past the six hour mark, the #55 Kapersky Ferrari was still in the lead and managed to score first full points awarded to them. Following them closely was the #63 GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini and the #84 Mercedes-AMG Team HTP Motorsport Mercedes. Halfway through the 24 hour race, the #63 GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini managed to claim full points ahead of the #85 HTP Motorsport Mercedes and the #55 Kapersky Ferrari, respectively.

However, unfortunate events had lead to the #55 Kapersky Ferrari retiring after suffering damaged steering. Meanwhile, #63 GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini retired after it had suffered brake failure. Towards the end of the race, it was the #25 Audi Sport Team Saintéloc Audi R8 LMS who battled for position with #117 KÜS Team75 Bernhard Porsche, which pitted laps later. The #117 KÜS Team75 Bernhard Porsche lost out and had to settle for fourth place.
