Aston Martin Vulcan to do flying laps in 24 Hours of Spa
The Vulcan will get to stretch its legs around Spa-Francorchamps this weekend

The track-only supercar from Aston Martin will be doing 2 flying laps at this weekend's Blancpain Endurance Series, the Total 24 Hours of Spa.
The designated driver of the Vulcan will be Aston Martin Works driver Darren Turner who also piloted the 7.0-liter V12 supercar up Goodwood Hill last month. Turner himself has 20 years of experience developing racing cars and he was more than pleased to help Aston Martin Racing make the Vulcan possible.

“It’s been amazing to have been involved in this project from the beginning. From the conceptual sketches through to working with the designers on driver ergonomics, it is a fascinating process to be part of,” said Turner.
In review, the Aston Martin Vulcan is the company's supercar built for the track. 'Born out of the company's motorsport experience' according to the automaker, it features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, limited slip differential, magnesium torque tube, Michelin tires and Brembo racing brake calipers.

At the heart of the Vulcan is a 7.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 that cranks out over 811 PS that drives the rear wheels via a Xtrac 6-speed sequential gearbox. 0 – 100 km/h is easily achieved in 3 seconds while top speed of the Vulcan is rated at more than 321 km/h.
Aside from the very-limited Vulcan, the company will also be fielding two Aston Martin customer teams that will partake in the PRO-AM class with V12 Vantage GT3s.
