Aston Martin Vantage to get GT3, GT4 race cars
Aston Martin teases Vantage GT3 ahead of debut, GT4 also to be coming soon

With Aston Martin having already introduced the next-generation Vantage, it seems as though the Gaydon-based manufacturer has decided to give it a racing make over. Come 2019, Aston Martin is set to introduce the all-new Vantage GT3 and GT4 race cars. These upcoming track-only models are based on the road-going Vantage and its GTE-racer counterpart.
The upcoming Vantage GT3 is set to replace the V12 Vantage GT3 which Aston Martin has built a total of 42 examples. The new GT3 model will also be ditching its predecessors V12 engine in favor of a modified version of the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 found on the road-going model. For now, power output and figures have yet to be announced.
Along with the GT3, Aston Martin has announced that the new Vantage GT4 is also coming soon. It will be based on the current-generation model and replaces the V8 Vantage GT4. It will be powered by the same V8 engine as the rest of the lineup.
Apart from the new powerplant, expect the Vantage GT3 and GT4 to both receive upgraded aero. The former will likely sport more a more hardcore aero package, possibly similar to that found on the Vantage GTE. As for the GT4, it will likely have a more subtle aerodynamic upgrade and likely retain the factory lines save for a fixed rear spoiler and possibly some a splitter and canards up front. For interested customers, Aston Martin is already taking orders of both GT3 and GT4 variants of the Vantage. It will be homologated for racing beginning March 1, 2019.
