There are plenty of racing simulator rigs in the market to choose from. There are some really affordable ones or even ones you can build yourself.

Aston Martin, however, wants to change all that with the AMR-C01.

Yes, Aston Martin is getting into the business of selling racing simulator rigs.

The AMR-C01 is part of a collaboration between Aston Martin and British technology company, Curv Racing Simulators. The design of the simulator was penned by Aston Martin which is why the front end resembles the brand’s signature grill design.

To give it a proper hypercar feel, the AMR-C01 uses a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque and has the same seat position as the Valkyrie. Despite being a driving simulator, the automaker says that it has the same “level of refinement, surface quality and finish” that customers can expect from an Aston Martin.

No official specs were released regarding the hardware used on the AMR-C01. Curv Racing Simulator only discloses that it uses the latest components together with the latest Assetto Corsa software. Furthermore, it is said to provide “a fully immersive driving experience for the home user”.

“This was a challenge for the design team as, although the simulator isn’t a car, it is inspired by our racing cars. It needed to exude the same elegance, boasting the same dynamic lines and balance of proportions as any Aston Martin with a racing lineage. I can picture the AMR-C01 in the most beautiful of residences as a sculptural work of art in its own right,” said Marek Reichman, Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer.

Given all the features, the AMR-C01 is not cheap. The simulator comes with a base price of £57,500 plus tax or roughly PhP 3.58 million. Only 150 examples will be built globally with deliveries scheduled to take place in Q4 2020. Customers can spec their rig in various colors as well.
