AHRA announces June 21 drag race

Following the success of last months twin drag racing events, Angeles Hot Rod Association (AHRA) has confirmed it will be running a single event drag racing day at Omni Dragstrip, Clark SEZ, Angeles City on Saturday, 21 June, 2003.
Drivers and spectators can expect more of the fast and furious track activity that is so synonymous to AHRA activities (for whom it can never be 2-Fast or 2-Furious). Following so much positive spectator feedback, an open invite has again been offered for special drag runs to be performed by the local Motorcycle "Hogs" of American Steel and Mad Dog Bike clubs. In addition, on this event spectators are also being given the opportunity to test out their road cars on timed "fun runs" down the strip.
Timings:
· Timing Runs, Special Bike Runs, and Fun Runs will commence at 2.30pm.
· Race Runs will commence at 4.30pm with racing continuing till late.
Race Registration:
Registration is open until posted race start times. Pre-registrations are being accepted now.
Race Costs: AHRA members - P1,000 +500 pot money*, Non-Members - P1,500 +500 pot money
Fun Runs: AHRA members P200, Non-Members P500
* all pot money collected will be paid out as a special bonus to the overall event winner.
Spectators:
AHRA members: FREE
Non-Members: P50 per vehicle, P50 per person
Facilities:
On-site catering is provided by a number of refreshment outlets that cater to both Filipino and Western tastes. Cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available at all outlets. (Race competitors may not consume Alcohol).
