2023 Formula One season to have record 24 races
China and Qatar returns while Miami, Las Vegas GP are added to 2023 F1 calendar

The World Motor Sport Council has approved the calendar for the 2023 FIA Formula One Championship season, which will feature a record-breaking 24 races, adding two more from the current season's tally.
Notable circuits are making their return, while new venues will be introduced in 2023. Coming back to the F1 calendar are the races in China and Qatar. As we've mentioned in our previous articles, Miami and Las Vegas are the new circuits the F1 circus will visit next year.

The 2023 Formula One season will kick off with two races in the Middle East. The Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Grand Prix will be held in March, then the circus sets on an Asia and Oceania tour with races in Australia, China, and Azerbaijan. Afterward, the new Miami Grand Prix will have its inaugural race in May before F1 heads off to Europe and races in Imola, Monaco, and Spain.
Another North American race will be held in Montreal for Round 10, while rounds 11, 12, 13, and 14 will have two back-to-back race weekends at Red Bull Ring, Silverstone, Hungaroring, and Spa Francorchamps before F1 heads for a mid-season break.
Like the current season, the 2023 F1 season will have its restart at Zandvoort, followed by Monza. Back-to-back races in Singapore and Suzuka will be the final Asian rounds, then a race in Qatar will serve as Round 19 before F1 heads to the Americas. COTA, Mexico, Brazil, and Las Vegas will be the penultimate races, while the finale is as always at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in late November.
“The presence of 24 races on the 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar is further evidence of the growth and appeal of the sport on a global scale,” said FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem.
If you're closely following Formula One, then better take time to mark your calendars for next season's races. They're a lot.
