You can now drive your Tito Doc's CR-V in Gran Turismo 7
GT7's latest four-car update includes a kei truck and of all cars, a Honda CR-V

Gran Turismo’s dev team, Polyphony Digital, seems to always have a field day whenever they release new updates.

It wasn’t so long since they brought in the Toyota Hiace Commuter, which went viral to Filipino gamers as they turned it into a UV Express. Now, they’ve brought in the country’s (unofficial) national car for doctors – the Honda CR-V.

That’s right. The fifth-generation Honda CR-V forms part of the four-car update in Gran Turismo 7 that went live today. It’s an e:HEV version that we never got in the country, but nevertheless looks very similar to the models that had the 1.6-liter i-DTEC turbodiesel in our market.

Likewise, the Suzuki Carry KC micro truck has also made its way to Gran Turismo 7 in the latest update – otherwise more commonly called in the Philippines as the Multicab. The small kei truck joins the likes of the Ferrari 812 Superfast and the Chevrolet C5 Corvette Z06.

We won’t be surprised if someone comes up with an MD badge for the CR-V, and a 1000 horsepower kei truck pop up in one of the online servers of GT7 soon. Got anything else in mind?
