Will 2023 BMW 3 Series look like the i3 sedan?
We might have already seen the facelifted 3 Series thanks to the BMW i3 EV

It won't be long before we say hello to the 2023 BMW 3 Series. That's because the Bavarian automaker has just released a short teaser video of the facelifted sedan over on Twitter.
The short video doesn't reveal much, but it looks like it will have a slightly altered kidney grille, as well as what appear to be more aggressive-looking headlights. Beyond that, we still can't see much of the refreshed 3 Series.

However, we may have already seen the car in its entirety via the electric i3 sedan. Already revealed in China last March, the electric 3 Series is widely believed to be the basis of the updated 2023 3 Series. Looking at the photos of the electric sedan, it appears our hunch may be right.
Starting with the headlights, the i3's LED headlights lose the notch at the bottom. Compared to the teaser of the 2023 3 Series, it also doesn't have the aforementioned break at the bottom which somewhat backs up the theory.

The bumper also appears to have a similar finish and design thanks to its smoother appearance. Since it will likely have a similar face, the 3 Series' rear might also have a familiar look to the i3.
We don't have any pictures of the 2023 3 Series interior yet, but we won't be surprised if it will look similar to the i3's cabin. Should that be the case, we can expect the four-door to come with a new iDrive touchscreen infotainment system, as well as a curved display for the digital instrument panel. In addition, updated trim and panels may also become available for the 2023 3 Series.

With BMW already teasing the refreshed sedan, we could only be just a few weeks (or even days) away before the automaker officially unveils it.
