Why is Honda Cars PH posting about the all-new Prelude?
We could see the all-new Honda Prelude make its way here in the future

Yesterday, Honda wowed everyone when they announced the all-new Prelude will get a simulated gear shift system. Dubbed S+ Shift, it will mimic gear shifting in a hybrid which will surely make for an enjoyable driving experience. While this means manual enthusiasts will not get a stick shift, at least they can enjoy the simulated feeling should they get their hands on one.
Once it's officially launched, we can expect the all-new Prelude to be offered in Japan, North America, Europe, and the rest of Asia. Surprisingly, it looks like we can also expect the electrified Prelude to make its way here in the Philippines in the near future.

Recently, we noticed that Honda Cars Philippines Inc (HCPI) posted about the all-new Prelude on their Instagram page. This comes as a surprise since it somehow hints at the possibility that the Prelude could make its way here in the not-so-distant future. But how and why will HCPI offer the Prelude to the Philippine market?
Well, for starters, HCPI plans to offer more hybrid models in its lineup. Currently, they already have the Civic e:HEV and CR-V e:HEV and they are looking to add more electrified vehicles soon. Other possible e:HEV models could include the HR-V and the City/City Hatchback. The Prelude could serve as the brand's hybrid halo model.
In addition, HCPI is aiming towards a more premium market with its vehicles. Since the Prelude will be a premium vehicle in itself, it stands to reason why HCPI could decide to bring it to the Philippines.

As to when can we expect the Prelude to make its way here, perhaps it could arrive here in 2026. After all, Honda billed the Prelude as a 2026 model-year vehicle.
Would you get the Honda Prelude instead of the Civic Type R given the benefits of E.O. 62? Let us know in the comments.
