VW ID. Buzz Cargo has 3.9 cubic meters of luggage space
Aside from passengers, the ID. Buzz can also carry plenty of cargo

Yesterday, Volkswagen officially unveiled the ID. Buzz electric vehicle (EV). Essentially a reinvention of the brand's popular Microbus/Kombi of yesteryear, it has been reborn into a stylish, zero-emissions people carrier.
But aside from having the ability to carry plenty of passengers, the new ID. Buzz can also move plenty of luggage. That's right, Volkswagen has also released a cargo van version of the EV. Aptly named the ID. Buzz Cargo, the van looks the same as the regular ID. Buzz. However, one will immediately notice it doesn't come with sliding doors on the side.

That's because right behind the front seats is a generous 3.9 cubic meters (or 3,900 liters) of cargo space. Complemented by a 2988mm long wheelbase, Volkswagen claims the ID. Buzz Cargo can carry two loaded Euro pallets, loaded in transversely. With that amount of real estate, the ID. Buzz Cargo has the ability to haul plenty of stuff, no problem.
Like the passenger van version, the cargo variant is driven by a single electric motor that powers the rear axle. It generates 201 PS with 310 Nm of torque and is powered by an 82.0-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

For now, the ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo are set to arrive in European markets later this year. In the future, Volkswagen will also be offering the ID. Buzz to North American markets.

Which one would you get if given the chance, the regular ID. Buzz, or the ID. Buzz Cargo to haul all your stuff? Let us know in the comments.
