Volvo to make EV charging as easy as getting Starbucks
Volvo puts up EV charging stations at Starbucks stores in the US

Smartphone charging stations are a common thing in convenience stores. But how about charging your EV while getting a nice cup of coffee? Sounds like the stuff of dreams, right? Well, Volvo is going to make that happen.
The Swedish carmaker has collaborated with Starbucks and ChargePoint in putting up electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the coffee company's US stores. That means, Volvo EV owners in the United States will have a place to relax while their cars are recharging.
Volvo plans to install as many as 60 Volvo-branded, ChargePoint DC fast chargers in up to 15 locations within a 100-mile distance to each other. Stores with these charging stations can be found between Denver and Seattle where the Starbucks headquarters is located.

EV owners won't have to wait for a long time either, as the fast chargers can bring the Volvo C40 Recharge's batteries from 20% to 90% charge in about 40 minutes, just the right amount of time you usually spend on a typical Starbucks visit.
Other motorists driving EV cars from a different brand can also use the charging station. However, they need to pay a fee, unlike Volvo owners who could access the stations at no charge at all.
The Starbucks charging stations are expected to be complete by the end of 2022, making charging stops for Volvo EV owners an enjoyable experience.
