Volvo launches EX30 for outdoors with new Cross Country version
Volvo begins 2025 with launch of EX30 Cross Country

Volvo had a record year in terms of global sales in 2024, but it’s not slowing down at staying competitive by announcing five new vehicles are coming for 2025.
The first of those five is this – the new EX30 Cross Country. Essentially, it’s a version of Volvo’s hip small crossover EV beefed up with bits and pieces to enhance its capability to go anywhere.

Much like the Cross Country-badged Volvos of yore, the new EX30 gets a more rugged look with a blacked out grille ethched with the topography of the Kebnekaise mountain range in Arctic Sweden. Other features include flat black wheel arch extenders, additional skid plates and chunkier 18-inch all-terrain tire option. Compared to the standard model, the EX30 Cross Country has a 19mm higher ground clearance with the lifted suspension and all-terrain tire combo.

The rest of the Cross Country’s features were carried over from the standard EX30. Those include the sound bar inside, the neat storage compartments, and interior trims made of sustainable materials.

The Cross Country version features the same electric powertrain as the standard dual motor AWD, packing a total system output of 428 PS and 543 Nm of torque. With a 64 kWh battery pack, Volvo says the EX30 Cross Country can do up to 427 km of range. The fast charging capabilities of the EV architecture can charge the EX30’s batteries from 10 to 80% in as little as 26 minutes.
There’s also a Cross Country Experience package for the EX30 CC, which includes special offers for outdoor accessories such as the A/T tires, roof basket, mudflaps, and a load carrier.

Select markets can now order the EX30 Cross Country, with deliveries starting at around spring time in Europe. As for the Philippine market, we’ll have to wait and see if Volvo PH will also offer the model here.
