Volkswagen PH launches the 2015 Golf GTI

Automobile Central Enterprise, Inc., the official and exclusive distributor of Volkswagen automobiles in the Philippines, has just launched the all-new Volkswagen Golf GTI to the market, marking the arrival of the VW brand's iconic hot hatch.

At the flagship Volkswagen Philippines dealership in Bonifacio Global City, VW Philippines executives, led by ACEI president and CEO Mr. John Philip Orbeta, officially welcomed the 2015 Golf GTI.

“The Golf GTI is indeed the sports car with true 'style and performance,' because it is THE GTI. It is the perfect car for performance seekers looking for fun and excitement,” said Mr. Orbeta.

The 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI is already on its seventh generation model and represents 39 years of experience and improvement in the hot hatchback segment. The GTI is the top spec version of VW's signature hatchback, and gets many exterior upgrades to signify its sporting status such as the aggressive front bumper, large 18-inch wheels and other details.

Inside, the 2015 Golf GTI comes with GTI premium sport seats, the GTI steering wheel with paddle shifts, the GTI shift knob, stainless steel pedals, scuff plates and trim. Standard features include a keyless-go entry/exit with push start, interior ambient lighting, a climatronic 2-zone air-conditioning system, anti-lock brakes, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) and other electronic features. Seven airbags, an 8-channel parking sensor suite, a rear camera and other safety features are standard.

The GTI being offered in the market is the 5-door version, and comes powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 220 PS at 4500-6200 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1500-4400 rpm. The 2015 Golf GTI is front-wheel drive and comes with a 6-speed dual clutch gearbox and sport-tuned suspension.

The 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI 5-door is available in Oryx White Pearl, Tornado Red, Night Blue, Limestone Grey, and Deep Black Pearl.
