Valenzuela City Police to deploy BYD Dolphin patrol units
Valenzuela City teams up with ACMobility and BYD to launch country's largest EV police fleet

BYD Cars Philippines, in collaboration with ACMobility, is advancing Valenzuela City’s environmental goals after it signed a contract with the city to provide 41 BYD Dolphin electric vehicles (EVs).
These units, to be supplied by BYD Greenfield, will be deployed to the city’s police force, making Valenzuela City the first Local Government Unit (LGU) to have an EV police fleet and the largest one in the country.

This sustainable mobility initiative by the city will provide round-the-clock security coverage while supporting Valenzuela’s shift to cleaner technologies. It also aligns with the city’s sustainability goals and complies with the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act and Republic Act No. 1285, which promote EV adoption in government operations.
ACMobility will also install 20 7kW and 2 22kW electric vehicle chargers across the city to reinforce this shift and ensure the seamless operation of Valenzuela’s electrified police fleet.

“By eliminating the need for fuel and significantly reducing maintenance costs, the BYD Dolphin offers the City of Valenzuela the potential to save up to 70% of its fleet’s operational and maintenance budget over a five-year period,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines. “This, combined with its zero tailpipe emissions, makes the BYD Dolphin a financially and environmentally sound investment for the city.”
