Updated 2023 Isuzu mu-X LS-E has quietly arrived in PH
Both the 4x2 and 4x4 mu-X LS-E now come with new wheels, a new color option, and a smart power tailgate

Remember when Isuzu introduced several new updates for the mu-X in Thailand?
After making its regional debut over in The Land of Smiles, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) quietly revealed the 2023 mu-X LS-E. Just like the vehicle launched in Thailand last October, the 7-seater SUV comes with an updated grille, a new exterior color, fresh alloy wheels, and a smart power tailgate.

Gone is the Marrakesh Brown exterior finish. That has been replaced with the new Norwegian Blue, which gives the SUV a more youthful vibe. Other available colors include the carried-over black, silver, and white hues. Next is the front grille which no longer has a chrome finish. Instead, it now gets a combination of magnetite and black chrome for a more premium look and feel.

The 20-inch alloy wheels have been redesigned as well for 2023 as the turbine-like design has been replaced with the new dynamic rotor blade design. The new wheels are actually quite reminiscent of the alloys used in the previous generation's 3.0-liter models. Last but not least is a smart power tailgate which can be activated via a sensor for easier loading and unloading of goods.

Like before, the interior of the 2023 mu-X is available with leather or fabric seats. A newly-designed three-spoke steering wheel, along with a dual-gauge cluster give the SUV a more upmarket look. Sitting front and center is a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. High-grade versions come with dual-zone automatic climate control while lesser versions get manual air-conditioning.

The fresh new updates for the 2023 mu-X are only available for the 3.0-liter 4x2 LS-E A/T and the range-topping 3.0-liter 4x4 LS-E A/T. The former now has a sticker price of PHP 2.155 million while the latter is now selling for PHP 2.505 million – a PHP 55,000 increase over the pre-updated versions.

Meanwhile, the 3.0-liter LS-A A/T and RZ4E LS-A M/T received a PHP 45,000 price increase. This meant the 3.0-liter LS-A is now priced at PHP 1,945,000 while the RZ4E LS-A now retails for PHP 1,815,000. Last but not least is the entry-level RZ4E LS A/T which is now available for PHP 1,650,000 (+PHP 60,000).
