Two units of Bugatti Chiron seized by BOC up for auction
Bureau of Customs to conduct public auction for two Bugatti Chirons seized earlier this year

Anyone who wants to splurge big before Christmas? You might wanna fancy your chances with a hypercar that can go past 400 km/h with ease.
Bureau of Customs is holding a public auction through sealed bidding for the two Bugatti Chirons seized earlier this year. These vehicles were found to not have any import documents on record, and were smuggled in the country registered under the names of foreign nationals.
The bidding will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Prefab Building of BOC in Port Area in Manila, and the floor prices are astronomical.

If you want a blue one, the 2017 model Chiron has a floor price of PHP 312,390,878.00. You want it in red? Well, the floor price is much higher for that 2019 model as it starts at PHP 334,238,820.00.
Of course, BOC doesn’t just want anybody to participate in the auction. The government agency says “Interested bidders must have a Certificate of Accreditation as Dealer of Motor Vehicles and /or their components issued by the Land Transportation Office.”
Apart from that, you also have to prove you’re indeed a big spender, as the bid requires a bond of PHP 15,619,543.90 for the blue Chiron, and PHP 16,711,941.00. These will be refunded to the losing bidders after the auction closes.
It’s been a few months since the pair of Bugatti Chirons were seized by BOC, and the notice states that the two will be auctioned on an “As is where is” basis. But of course, if you’re willing to risk spending PHP 300+M for the Chiron, then by all means, let the bids begin.
