Twinning: 2023 Nissan Livina out and about before PH launch
Car enthusiast spots 2023 Nissan Livina roaming PH roads before its Sept 6 launch

Nissan recently confirmed they're launching the all-new Livina MPV on September 6. But before that even happens, a car enthusiast just gave us a preview of what could be a common sight on our roads in the future.
Jerome Karikitan spotted a twinning moment between the Xpander and the soon-to-be-launched Livina as he was traveling along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX). Unlike the previous sighting where the Nissan MPV was in a carrier, this one now sees the Livina getting a feel of the pavement.

In a game of spot the difference, the photo shows the distinct rear end of the Livina when compared to the Xpander. Aside from the Nissan badge, the Livina's tailgate features fewer creases compared to its Mitsubishi twin, while its faux diffuser is split into two instead of a one-piece design.
Since it went side-by-side with what looks like the pre-facelift version of the Xpander, there's also a difference when it comes to the twins' ride height. As far as we can recall, the refreshed Xpander's ground clearance was increased by 20mm, and that may have been also adopted for the Livina.

As mentioned in our previous articles, the Livina will (supposedly) come in three variants, with all of them powered by Mitsubishi's 1.5-liter 4A91 engine. Transmission choices are either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual.
Prices and exact specifications of the all-new Livina are yet to be disclosed by Nissan and could very well be reserved for its launch on September 6. Once the Xpander twin is officially out, expect an instance where motorists will have to take a second look the moment they see an MPV from the Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance.
