Toyota PH adds automatic transmission option to more Tamaraw variants
Toyota Motor Philippines expands automatic transmission option to Utility Van, Aluminum Cargo variants

For those looking to move their businesses with two pedals, here’s some good news. More body configurations for the next-generation Tamaraw are now available with automatic transmission.
Toyota Motor Philippines has expanded the 6-speed automatic transmission offering to the diesel Utility Van and Aluminum Cargo variants of the Tamaraw, joining the GL Dropside variant.

Much like the latter, the GL Utility Van and GL Aluminum Cargo utilize the long wheelbase platform of the Tamaraw, and are powered by the 2.4-liter 2GD-FTV turbodiesel, producing 150 PS and 400 Nm of torque.
The GL Utility Van has a 930 kg payload capacity with a 2 + 12 seating configuration, while the GL Aluminum Cargo can carry up to 970 kg of payload. Both variants come with LED headlights, 7-inch touchscreen head units and 16-inch alloy wheels, an upgrade from the 14-inch steelies, 2-din head unit and halogen headlamps from the manual transmission variants.

As for pricing, the Toyota Tamaraw GL Utility Van DSL AT retails for PHP 1,307,000 while the new GL Aluminum Cargo DSL AT variant sells for PHP 1,167,000. Both new variants are available as an indent order, and are currently the most expensive bodies done in-house as official body conversions.
Specialized body conversions for the Tamaraw, on the other hand, are still available in the sole long wheelbase, diesel manual transmission configuration. Prices are as follows:
2025 Toyota Tamaraw Patrol Car 2.4 DSL MT – PHP 1,169,000
2025 Toyota Tamaraw Ref Van 2.4 DSL MT – PHP 1,589,000
