GAC Philippines has achieved yet another milestone in 2023. At the opening of the 3-day GAC Discovery Drive Fest at Glorietta 2, Ayala Center in Makati City, the company announced that it was able to sell a total of 825 units so far since the start of this year.

This was confirmed by Franz Decloedt, Marketing Director of Astara Philippines. For the executive, the exceptional 7-month sales performance is a testament to the team’s hard work, as well as the trust that customers have in GAC and Astara.
“We are elated to celebrate our exceptional 7-month streak in sales performance, which is a testament to our team's hard work, innovation, and the trust our customers have in us. Our brand's dedication to delivering cutting-edge vehicles that cater to the evolving needs and preferences of our Filipino customers has been the driving force behind this impressive sales trajectory,” said Decloedt.

To mark the momentous occasion, the automaker has previewed a new variant of its flagship luxury crossover SUV. Set to serve as the new top-of-the-line variant is the 2024 GS8 4x4. Joining the 4x2 GT model which was first launched earlier this year, the GS8 4x4 GT gets the same level of equipment as its 4x2 brethren but comes with the aforementioned 4WD system that discerning customers may be looking for in their new crossover SUV.

Some of the appointments and luxuries customers can expect to find inside the GS8 4x4 GT include; the massive 20-inch alloy wheels, a power tailgate with auto remote function, a panoramic sunroof, a three-zone climate control, full leather seats, power-adjustable front seats with cooling function, LED ambient lighting, a 14.6-inch touchscreen display, a 7-inch digital display, a wireless charging pad, and a 360-degree camera for extra visibility all around.

Unique only to the new 4x4 version of the GS8 is a 10-speaker sound system from Alpine, a cooled center console box, and additional drive modes for various terrains. These are; Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sand, Mud, and Snow.
And just like the 4x2 GT, the 4x4 GT variant comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that puts out 248 PS at 5200 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1750 - 4000 rpm. Power is then sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has played a role in our success story – our customers who have chosen to drive with us, our partners who have supported our endeavors, and our dedicated team members who have worked tirelessly to make this all possible,” said Raoul Picello, Managing Director of Astara Philippines.

The 2024 GAC GS8 4WD is now being offered at a special introductory price of PHP 2,548,000 In addition, booking for reservations for the new top-of-the-line GS8 is ongoing at all GAC Motor dealerships nationwide. All units come with a five-year warranty and customer deliveries will begin very soon.
