This Porsche 911 GT3 RS is on duty for your connecting flight
Delta Airlines activate a Porsche 911 GT3 RS for your tight connecting flight

In a country like ours where flight delays are common, it’s quite a gamble to have a short layover before transferring to your next plane. However, over in the US, their most on-time airline has a rather interesting solution for that – a supercar.
Yes, and it’s not just any kind of supercar. Delta Airlines has activated a Porsche 911 GT3 RS to shuttle passengers with tight connections from one plane to another. It’s part of Delta Airlines’ longtime partnership with the Stuttgart brand in offering a once-in-a-lifetime airport transfer service.

Previously, Delta Airlines activated a Porsche 918 for the same duty at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and they also have a fleet of Cayennes and Panameras that serve similar purposes.
With a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine at the back producing 525 PS, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reach 296 km/h in seventh gear.
Based on those numbers, it’s safe to say a Porsche 911 GT3 RS paired with an open runway should assure you that you’ll make it in time for your next flight.

The supercar transfer service will operate at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), where lucky flyers are taken to their next flight using the latest Porsche track weapon. Delta says the service will be available until February 26.
One can only wish the same can be offered in the Philippines. But who knows? SMC has just been chosen to manage NAIA, and they also distribute Ferraris (as well as BMWs) in the country. So… as the famous phrase goes…. “beke nemen” *wink wink*
