This is the world's toughest Nissan Navara
Nissan to offer more rugged Navara Pro-4X Warrior in Australia

The Ford Ranger Raptor better watch out. Nissan has built a special edition Navara with the Raptor in its crosshairs. It's called the Navara Pro-4X Warrior, and it's built in collaboration with Australian engineering company Premcar. To show how serious they are with the truck, Nissan even calls it the “world's toughest Navara”.

"Nissan chose Premcar as its core partner to produce the first Navara N-TREK Warrior in 2019, a vehicle we believe set a new benchmark for locally developed dual-cab utes in Australia, and the first of what will soon be several exciting new Warrior models in our line-up," says Nissan Australian Managing Director, Stephen Lester.
As the name implies, the Warrior is based on the Navara Pro-4X. Premcar then re-engineered the truck in Australia and turned it into the battle-ready off-road machine you see here. Nissan remains tight-lipped about the specific upgrades. However, the official photos released by the automaker show significant changes over the standard Navara Pro-4X.

Starting with the exterior bodywork, the Navara Pro-4X Warrior is fitted with a steel front bumper with an additional LED strip in the center. There's also a bright red bash bar fitted underneath to protect the engine and under chassis from rocks and debris. Along the side, Nissan added wheel arch extensions to match the more rugged look. New wheels wrapped in chunky Cooper tires ensure the pick-up can take on any terrain. A new roll bar and Pro-4X Warrior graphics complete the exterior makeover.

Considering how high the Navara Pro-4X Warrior rides, a lift kit has been fitted as well, along with other suspension upgrades. As for the engine, Nissan may have tweaked the diesel mill to produce more power. For reference, the Australia-spec Navara Pro-4X uses a twin-turbo 2.3-liter engine that outputs 190 PS and 450 Nm torque.

As cool as the Navara Pro-4X Warrior is, it will likely be an Australia-exclusive model. Still, it would have been cool to see the “world's toughest Navara” in the Philippines. It might even give the Ranger Raptor a run for its money.
