This is the 2025 Ford Territory facelift

It was around two years ago when Ford Philippines officially revealed the next-generation Territory. Also called Equator Sport in its home market, the compact crossover gets a sleek new look, bigger dimensions, more standard equipment across the range, and an improved turbocharged engine that's mated to a smoother shifting 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox.

Despite being launched just last year in the Philippines, the all-new Territory was first revealed way back in 2021 – meaning it's already due for an update. Luckily, Ford has just unveiled the refreshed version of its popular compact crossover SUV.

Say hello to the 2025 Ford Territory, and boy was the Blue Oval busy giving it a makeover. Featuring a more cohesive and rounded exterior, the updated Territory gets a redesigned front end that's dominated by a blacked-out grille and more prominent L-shaped LED daytime running lights and headlights.

That's right, the two-tier headlight design is gone as Ford decided to combine both lighting units into one for the new facelift. Also new is the front bumper which gets a smoother look and replaces the outgoing design. Last but not least is the simpler-looking grille which does away with the huge oversized one as seen in the current model the Philippine market gets.

Changes around the back are minimal at best although Ford did make some subtle revisions on the lower rear bumper. Also available are the new 20-inch alloy wheels which come standard on the high-end variants of the 2025 Territory.

Hop inside and Ford decided to keep things inside the updated Territory more or less the same. It still gets a pair of 12.3-inch digital displays that serve as the instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment, a rotary-style gear selector, neat touches of high gloss piano black accents, leather upholstery with contrast stitching, a panoramic sunroof, rear aircon vents, front & rear center armrests, and push-button start.

Under the hood, power remains the same from the carried-over 1.5L turbocharged inline-four that makes 170 PS and 260 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox. In the future, however, the Territory will be offered with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain that will have a combined system output of 218 PS.

With the refreshed Ford Territory now available in the PRC, it might not be long before the Blue Oval makes it available in the Philippines.
