This Arctic Trucks Great Wall pick-up is an off-road beast
Arctic Trucks upgrades the Wingle 7 with bigger wheels, upgraded suspension, and wider fenders

It seems Arctic Trucks just can't get enough of dressing up pick-up trucks. After modifying the Isuzu D-max into the ultimate camping vehicle called the 'Basecamp', the Iceland-based company has now given its attention to another pick-up truck, the Great Wall Wingle 7.

Just like the Hilux Conquest and D-Max pick-ups, the Wingle 7 has received the AT35 package. The result is a meaner and more capable-looking truck that comes with Arctic Trucks' signature flared wheel arches, and 17-inch wheels wrapped in massive 35-inch mud-terrain tires.
This made the Wingle 7 have a ground clearance of 276mm. Water wading depth was not revealed, but we're pretty sure it's well over the 800mm most factory pick-ups are rated for. When it comes to its departure and approach angle, Arctic Trucks claim the Wingle 7 now has a 36-degree approach and a 29-degree departure for improved off-roading.

Other upgrades present on the Wingle 7 include a reinforced suspension, as well as anti-corrosion coating in its chassis to protect it from the elements wherever you are. Optional extras that can be equipped in the Wingle 7 are a front winch, automatic engine heater, and additional thermal insulation.
Powering the Wingle 7 is the stock 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine. No upgrades were made here as the inline-four continues to put out a humble 143 PS and 315 Nm of torque. Power is sent to a 6-speed manual transmission with 4WD. For extra peace of mind, it also has a rear diff lock for when the going gets tough in uneven terrain.

Do you think the Great Wall Wingle 7 with the AT35 package an take on the stalwarts of the pick-up market? Let us know in the comments.
