The future is here: Nissan Max-Out concept in the metal

After revealing its vision of what its futuristic two-seater convertible looks like in a digitally animated video, the Japanese automaker finally unveils the physical form of the Max-Out concept at the Nissan Futures event in its Global Headquarters Gallery in Yokohama.

In sheet metal, the vehicle is flatter and less curvy than its digital counterpart. The front fascia, the wheels, and the tail showcase its full-LED lighting, while the body’s convex ridge adds sex appeal and aerodynamic efficiency. Nissan designed it as a convertible to provide an open-air driving experience.

The cabin features a two-seater layout with a rectangular steering wheel and an expansive display that seems to integrate both the instrument panel and the infotainment system. There do not seem to be any buttons or switches in the cockpit as it features an all-touch system.

To further stress the automaker’s desire for sustainable and innovative mobility, the Max-Out Concept is a full-EV (electric vehicle) that aims for an enhanced and dynamic driving experience while showing Nissan’s diverse range of advanced and striking vehicles.

Nissan did not mention whether a production model will be made in the future. But the fact that Nissan claimed they will be releasing 23 electrified models by 2030, may indicate that they could be working on a prototype of this model already. We sure hope Nissan makes an electric roadster in the future to show that they can still stay sporty in the age of electrification.
